Product Design & Development Lead (PDD)

Job Description

We are looking for a Product Design & Development Lead to drive the engineering and development of our door and barrier systems. This role will take ownership of the product from concept to installation, ensuring it is safe, durable, manufacturable, and performs reliably in real-world environments.
The ideal candidate combines strong mechanical design skills with practical engineering thinking and is comfortable working closely with manufacturing and field teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and engineering of door and barrier systems
• Own the product lifecycle from concept, prototyping and testing to final deployment
• Develop designs that balance performance, durability and manufacturability
• Work closely with manufacturing partners and suppliers to ensure product feasibility
• Support installation teams with technical guidance when required
• Continuously improve product design based on field feedback and testing

Skills Required:

• Strong mechanical design and engineering fundamentals
• Experience with CAD design tools and product development processes
• Understanding of materials, fabrication and manufacturing methods
• Ability to solve practical engineering problems and optimize designs
• Strong collaboration and coordination with cross functional teams
